The art gallery “Most” is the first private gallery in Montenegro. It was founded in 11.04.1994. with exhibition of 18 academic painters and sculptors from Podgorica, such as: Nikica Raicevic, Ljubo Brajovic, Anastasija Brajovic, Bato Brajovic, Branko Stamatovic, Petar Martinovic, Srdjan Kovacevic, Bosko Odalovic, Filip Jankovic, Nikola Vujosevic, Dobroslav Mrdak, Srdjan Vukcevic…

In 12 years, the art gallery “Most” was organized over 300 independent, collective, international exibitions in its area and throughout Montenegro in cooperation with the local culture centres.

The concept, which was established by the counsel of the gallery whose members were since the establishment: Milan Marovic (the president), Olga Perovic, Pavle Djonovic, Mihail Pavlovic, Djordjije Zivkovic-Zigalj, Blagota Erakovic, Slobodan Marunovic, Ilija Dapcevic i Dragan Djurovic organized the exhibitions of the most famous Montenegrian painters and sculptors as those who are not among living but who left indelible trace in the Montenegrian art and today’s art creators who have proven themselves throughout Europe and beyond such as: Dimitrije Popovic, Dado Djuric, Uros Toskovic, etc. The gallery also wide open doors to young cretors and organized the first independent exhibitions for graduates from the Art Academy, as well as for members of Art school, and occasionally for prominent painters and amateur sculptors. The gallery is established and the event “Rainbow over the bridge” wich celebrates the day of gallery with exhibitions, concerts, literary evenings, as well as introductions of cultural institutions, organizations and individuals.

The gallery since established has excellent cooperation with the music school “Vasa Pavic” and “Andre Navaro”, Music

Academy and other music schools in the Republic. The gallery is stage for the first public performances of the students  and choirs of this schools. In this gallery, today well known musicians made their first steps such as: Roman Simovic, Milos Karadaglic, Drasko Malidzan, etc. Students of the Faculty of Dramatic Atrs also had successful performances during the opening of the exhibitions in this gallery. The gallery is the organizer and producers of two theatre plays “13 years of love” directed by Goran Bulajic and “Cave and calvary of duke Ante Dakovic” directed by Blagota Erakovic.

The art gallery “Most” has launched a publishing business, among others it has announced 8 numbers of cronicles “Most”, a book “Dim u dim” by Pavle Djonovic montenegrin folk humor, art criticism books by Olga Perovic, Milan Marovic, Nikola Vujosevic, and another 30 books of poetry, prose, short stories, humor, novel, etc.

This gallery has established and it is main organizer of the traditional event “Vilusi cultural summer” where during the summer theater performances, literary evenings, concerts, exhibitions, folklore, dance and game evenings and author evening are held. The gallery organizes art colonies. Until now there were six, of which two international. The gallery organized 15 international exhibitions: artists from Italy, Canada, Korea, England, France, Albania, Bolivia, etc. It is also the first in Montenegro who organized modern equipping of paintings according to European standards. We equipped many museums, galleries, cultural, representatives, business, tourist and other areas. The gallery participated in art fairs in Belgrade two times, as well as book fairs, with their publications in Belgrade, Paris, Frankfurt, Bar, Herceg Novi and Podgorica. The gallery helped with donation of pictures and conducted auctions for the help and marking the jubilee of various educational, cultural, sporting and humanitarian organizations.

The gallery organized donation and the collection and equipment of paintings for the kindergarten “Sunce”, for a gallery of medical school in Podgorica composed of famous Montenegrin academic painter, for marking 160 years of the first elementary school in Montenegro “Njegos” in Cetinje, as well as for a gallery of kindergarten “Zagorka Ivanovic” in Cetinje. This gallery has established with Milenko Damjanovic and Milan Marovic Montenegrin Association of gallerists, and helped open the other gallery.

It has received many awards, agreements and letters of thanks from which we especially emphasize reward “The thirteenth November” from the town of Cetinje, where we in Biljarda 1988. organized the first art exhibition entitled “Pictures of my friends”.

In the gallery were performed and speak the most famous names from the territory of Montenegro and the former Yugoslavia in the field of visual arts, art critics, writers, musicians, actors, journalist, directors, politicians and other cultural and public workers.
